Yes, the title of this blog is in fact a Godzilla reference. In case you were wondering.
In three days one of my newest songs premiers on YouTube.com/AmiraSongs, filmed live in the studio; and I have to say, I’m a little antsy about this one! This first video is in a series of three to be released, but this specific song, entitled “Fool’s Gold” is literally the first of it’s kind (at least for me)
It has to be described as a girl power song.. there’s really no other way to cut it. Girls, I hope you enjoy it… For the boys out there, I can’t really apologize… it is what it is. (Hoping to have eased the pain with the Godzilla reference!)
It’s easy to hold on to the past, all the details are set in stone, all the once unexpected twists and turns can be looked back upon in comfortable familiarity..
But to let go of the past and look towards the future, placing hope in the unknown. This is a task for the brave, those courageous enough to believe that the future is molded, not by chance, but by choice… not by fate, but by faith.
I’m the type who is always reading into things - colors, songs, you name it.. I’ll read into it.
I read in-between the lines that are in-between the lines… and sometimes.. Sure, that can get you into trouble. I’ve found, though, that it’s better to believe that there’s a deeper meaning to things.. Then to believe that there’s no meaning at all.
I think some of the most powerful art is that which shows the world you’ve already seen… highlighting the beauty that you failed to notice.
